(112 pages, each one with many pictures).
Review (of Spanish version): "It is a good spanish book. It comes with
a lot of good pictures and the information is short but very well done.
Basically the book focus is in Queen and their jobs, without interferring
too much in their personal lives like those books who try to attack Freddie
because of his AIDS."

- "Mercury and Me" by J*m H****n [Fiction]
This book dredges the sewer of human decency. No-one who loved Freddie
could have written it, and no-one who knew him even vaguely could read
it without feeling overwhelming anger at the way it stripped Freddie of
his dignity and flagrantly violated the privacy that he cherished so much.

Review by Daniela Speranza:
"I think it is the worst book I ever read.
The same old story...The writer is more interested into FREDDIE's sexuality
than into any other thing! FREDDIE is described as a drug addict, selfish and
reckless towards his lovers, depraved and careerist... His musical genius,
as songwriter-singer-pianist-etc, seems to be of little importance, or rather
of no account! His dignity towards illness and undeserved fate is judged with
irony and criticism because he should have informed all the world of his
illness long before.
All the same Mrs Jackson says:"Death has been known to deify the plainly
undeserving, but in Freddie Mercury's case he became a colossus of rock in
his own lifetime - and it remains unlikely that his equal, in all his
crowning glory, will ever be seen again." These are the last words..
So I think how much hypocrisy and ugly homophobia!"
- "Queen - La reine du spectacle" by Arturo Blay (in French)
Published by Editorial La Mascara
ISBN: 84-7974-539-8
A4 sized paperback, cost 69 French Francs.
Review by Andy Fitzgerald:
"The book gives a resume of the history of Queen, from Smile to Made In Heaven.
I haven't yet read it, so I can't say any more. There are lots of
photographs, mostly in b/w but some in colour. There includes a CD cover
pull-out where the covers of 8 Queen studio albums are printed in colour with
track listings and comments on the back of each. There follows a shortish
account of Queen's tours, and then a section at the back with the words of
some songs in English with a corresponding French translation. This book is
number 26 in the series 'Images du Rock'"
